Restorative Dentistry in Leander
Sometimes, even the most diligent dental hygiene routine can’t ensure that you avoid issues like decay or damage. At Apple Springs Family Dentistry, we offer a full line-up of restorative dental services to get your smile looking great and functioning properly again.
Tooth-Colored Fillings
During your bi-annual exams, our team will take a close look at your teeth for signs of decay. If we notice any, we will recommend that we remove the decay and place a tooth-colored filling. We use composite materials in our fillings meaning we no longer place obvious silver fillings. We use composite materials, meaning we no longer place obvious silver fillings on your teeth.
New tooth pain could indicate that you’ve developed a cavity in between appointments, so call us if you think something is amiss.
Dental Crowns & Bridges
We can use dental crowns, also called caps, in a number of different circumstances. A crown can cover a deep chip or crack. If you break a tooth, we can cover it with a crown to give you back a full and healthy tooth. After root canal treatment, we often recommend a dental crown to protect the tooth and give it additional strength. If you’re missing a tooth and need a dental implant, we’ll top the implant with a natural-looking crown to complete your smile.
For patients missing a tooth or two, we may recommend a dental bridge to give you back a smile that looks and functions great. A dental bridge is a metal appliance that attaches to a dental crown on either side of the gap left behind by missing teeth. The appliance has a false tooth that sits in place of each missing tooth, essentially bridging the gap and restoring your smile.

Gentle Root Canal Treatment
Severe decay, an infection, or even deep damage to a tooth could leave you needing a root canal in order to save the tooth. At Apple Springs Family Dentistry, we provide gentle root canal treatment to remove the decay or infection and give you back a healthy tooth. During a root canal, we numb the area, clean out the canals of the tooth, disinfect the inside of the tooth, and fill it to keep out bacteria. Finally, we top it with a crown for extra strength and protection.
Don’t give up on your smile! Speak with a friendly team member to learn how restorative dentistry can save your teeth and have you smiling once again.
